Application description:
HENKEL’s product range for structural bonding of ers
a wide variety of solutions to meet the dif erent
requirements and conditions that apply to industrial
design and construction. Adhesive bonding is a
process in which two similar or dif erent materials are
assembled solidly and permanently using an adhesive.
The adhesives create ‘bridges’ between the surfaces
of the substrates to be bonded. To achieve optimal
adhesion, the following requirements must be met:
-Compatibility of the adhesive with the materials to
be bonded. -Compatibility of the adhesive with the
specif ed requirements. -Correct processing of the
adhesive
Surface preparation:
For a good design of the bonded joints, the following
key points should be observed: a) the surfaces to be
joined should be as large as possible for maximum load
transmission capability. B) Forces acting on the joint
should be distributed across the entire bond line
